“Monologues of the war” is a project, created by Ukrainian journalists as a response to the military aggression of Russia against Ukraine. Our journalists record the stories of people witnessing the war in different manifestations.
Our project is like a written and visual archive of war. Our goal is to help readers with solving a puzzle of what really happens during these times of war in different places of Ukraine.
We want to make the witnessing of Ukrainians accessible and understandable to the whole world.
We want to collect as many stories as we can, to systematize them, so they don’t get lost in the intense news flow about sanctions. We also want to show real people, not dry figures of military statistics. That’s exactly why the stories are told in the first person.
If you know people, who live in the war zone, survived the occupation and evacuation, moved to other countries because of the war and want to tell their stories to the whole world… Please, let us know.
